Discover the rich cultural heritage of Zanzibar. Visit Zanzibar Stone Town, an old historical city founded in the early 18th century by Oman Sultans. Head to Sultans Palace Museum and House of Wonders. Admire its unique blend of Europe and Arab Beaux-Arts Architecture. Drive to an old Hindu Temple, a monument to the Indian spirit of religion, royalty, and traditional art. Along the way to the temple, admire the stunning Colonial Architecture. Explore the opulent architecture, and breath-taking art within Stone Town. Explore Prison Island which offers a stunning view of the Stone Town especially during the night; there is very beautiful small sandy beach where swimming on the crystal waters is marvelous. The coral reefs surrounding the island provide an opportunity of snorkeling. This is also a home of the giant tortoise, which is now under strict conservation. A short-guided tour around the island will provide the real picture. Kizimbani is among the areas for the spice tour. You will visit the spice farm where you will have the opportunity to pick, smell, and savour fruits and spices which you have probably never seen on the supermarket shelf, Cloves, star fruit, tangerine trees, lemon grass, mangos teen, 'lipstick trees', to name a few!!! But what you can expect to see? This is the cheapest place to buy locally made perfumes and oils. Or choose to visit entirely different attractions. The choice is yours.
